Jenna Tenn-Yuk is a spoken word artist, public speaker and educator. She was a member of the 2010 Canadian Festival of Spoken Word Wild Card team, and has performed at Parliament Hill, City Hall, Pecha Kucha, numerous conferences and has given a TEDx Talk. Jenna was awarded a Tontine award for her project that seeks to engage people in spoken word by providing free workshops.

Jeannette Tossounian is an artist who has compiled a series of jail sketches and jail poems created in her cell at an Ontario womens detention centre called 'Songs from the Slammer'.

The Ottawa Miniature Gallery aims to make the art gallery experience accessible to a wide variety of artists, and hosts short term exhibits inside other galleries, cafes and local businesses. Funds from the Tontine Award will be used to expand programming for the miniature arts community in Ottawa.
